Is a 5-year
academic, employment and savings incentive program designed to help low
income families gain education and career skills to move toward
self-sufficiency; through case management which provides life-skills
guidance, and linkages to network service providers.
Eligibility: Families, single parents, and adults in Boulder
County who have a Section 8 voucher or reside in public housing.
Income Limits: Varies depending on family size. The total household income must be at or below 80% of area medium
income.
How to Apply: As of 5/11/2010 applications are being accepted for a limited time. Incomplete applications
will not be accepted.

applied now what?
-
Once an application is received, the applicant will be contacted to
schedule an initial interview.

Following the interview,
applicants will be asked to complete specific, personalized tasks
related to goal achievement.

Applicants will
then be placed on the FSS waitlist. Placement on the
waitlist does not guarantee FSS approval or housing eligibility.

When
the applicant’s name reaches the top of the waitlist and moves into a FSS housing unit, the applicant will be assigned a case manager and
will begin the program.
