Boulder County Sheriff's Office is looking for enthusiastic, motivated people who enjoy challenging and rewarding work. Training for new communications personnel takes approximately six months. Trainees start in a classroom academy followed by several months of on-console training with an assigned communications-training officer. Personnel are trained in all four, dispatch positions; law, fire, data and call taking. Probation for new employees is one year from the time they have completed training in all positions.


High school diploma or equivalent, ability to multi-task, type 40 wpm. Must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts, nights, weekends and holidays.
