Position Title:Agricultural Heritage Center Gardener

Program Summary:

The Agricultural Heritage Center at the Lohr/McIntosh Farm in Longmont is looking for volunteers to help care for its heirloom garden and basic grounds care for trees and shrubs throughout the season.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Basic responsibilities include watering the garden and other plants on a regular basis, weeding the garden, and occasionally moving dirt and mulch with a wheel barrow. 
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Must be at least 14 years old (volunteers under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult parent/guardian during training and volunteer shifts)
  • Gardening experience
  • Ability to work on a team and independently at different times of the year
  • Knowledge or interest in agriculture, historic preservation, and/or local history
  • Must have personal transportation
  • Pass criminal background check
