Program Summary:
Come join in on the fun and excitement of the 144th annual Boulder County Fair and help support the event’s Zero Waste initiative!  Zero Waste Champions help educate fair attendees on the importance of composting and recycling. They also explain how to properly use the Zero Waste stations located throughout the fairgrounds.  Zero Waste Champions are a key element to the success of the Boulder County Fair. 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Your support not only helps this event but pushes Boulder County even closer to its Sustainability Plan goals. The fair starts on Friday, 8/2/13, and ends Sunday, 8/11/13. Shift times are from 12pm – 4pm, 4pm – 8pm, and 6pm – 10pm each day. To make your service more enjoyable you can volunteer during any activities of interest including: Stunt Masters BMX & Skateboard, Parade, Rodeo, Bull Fighting, Carnival, BBQ Cook-off, and Demolition Derby. Qualifications and Requirements:
At least 18 years of age.  No experience necessary.

Training Dates and Information:
Training before the event is required. Dates are still TBD, but will likely take place a week before the fair begins. Training are expected to be no longer than 1 hour in duration.
