BOCC Approved 2006 Amendments to Boulder County Building Code
On March 5, 2009, the Boulder County Commissioners adopted a residential radon-resistant construction amendment to the Boulder County Building Code.
As of April 1, 2009, all new homes constructed in unincorporated Boulder County must be built using radon-resistant construction techniques. This can significantly reduce indoor radon levels at a fraction of the cost (6 MB) of adding on a mitigation system after a house is built.
