Small grass fire started by a vehicle fire in the 2100 block of Magnolia Rd.

Boulder County, Colo. -

On October 23, 2021, at approximately 10:20 a.m., Boulder County Dispatch Center received reports of a vehicle that was on fire because it had overheated near the 2100 block of Magnolia Rd. Upon arrival at the scene, fire fighters from the Sugarloaf Fire Department and deputies from Boulder County Sheriff’s Office found the vehicle fully involved and the fire had spread to the adjacent hillside and was creeping uphill.

Fire fighters were able to extinguish the small grass fire which had grown to approximately 80 feet by 40 feet. The vehicle fire was also extinguished. The vehicle was a total loss. No injuries were reported, and no structures were threat during the incident.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office case number for this incident is 21-5125.
