Walker Ranch Loop Trail -- NOW OPEN
October 15, 2009 - Walker Ranch Loop has reopened.
The wildland fire is 100% contained.
October 14, 2009, 4:30pm - Flagstaff Road has
reopened to traffic. The wildland fire is 50% contained –
all on Eldorado State Park land. No Boulder County lands
affected at this time. The Walker Ranch Loop Trail remains
closed and will likely stay that way thru the evening as a
public safety precaution.
October 14, 2009, 2:15pm - The Walker Ranch Loop
Trail has been temporarily closed due to a wildland fire in
the Eldorado State Park area.
Flagstaff Road is also closed to non-resident traffic.
Currently, the fire is not on Boulder County Open Space
lands. However, the six-mile Walker Ranch Loop trail
traverses through State Park, City of Boulder Open Space &
Mountain Parks and POS lands.
Parks and Open Space park rangers and other emergency
personnel are on the scene, and we will update this page as
further information is available.
