Wild Turkey Trail at Heil Valley Ranch Open Space Grand Opening Ceremony
October 8, 12:30 p.m.
The grand opening for the New Wild Turkey Trail at
Heil Valley Ranch
will take place at the southern end of the new trail at 12:30 p.m. on
Monday, October 8.
There will be three ways to get to the ceremony site: hike, bike, or
shuttle (see map below).
11:00 Recommended start time for hikers to leave from picnic
shelter to get
to opening site (2.6 miles, ~1.25 hours).
11:30 Recommended time for bikers to leave
from picnic shelter to site (2.6 miles, ~45 minutes)
11:45 Shuttle from picnic area to opening
site
12:30 Grand Opening Ceremony with Boulder
County Commissioners and POS Director and staff.
12:45 Hike and Bike trips led by POS staff
on Wild Turkey Trail
1:15 Shuttle leaves trail back to picnic
area (for those not hiking or biking)
Heil Valley Ranch is located northwest of Boulder, west of Longmont.
Take North Foothills Parkway north from Boulder to Left Hand Canyon Road
(turn west at the Greenbriar Restaurant), then north on Geer Canyon
Road. Follow signs to the trailhead.
