Parks and Open Space Advisory Committee (POSAC)

Parks and Open Space Advisory Committee members meet on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Meetings are held in the County Commissioner's Hearing Room on the Third Floor of the County Courthouse at 1325 Pearl Street Mall in Boulder and public participation is encouraged.

Reminder to POSAC members only: If you cannot attend a meeting, please call Renata Frye at 303-678-6261 as soon as possible.


Public Participation

The following are guidelines concerning public participation:
  • Each speaker will have a maximum of five minutes to testify on any one issue.
  • For a controversial issue where many people are signed up to speak, speakers will be limited to three minutes. Speakers may forfeit their time to another speaker, however, that speaker will be limited to nine minutes.
  • If a speaker needs considerably more time than allocated, he/she may contact Renata Frye at 303-678-6261 or rfrye@bouldercounty.org and request to be placed on the agenda.
  • If you need special assistance, please contact the Human Resources Division at 303-441-3508 at least 48 hours before the scheduled event.
  • There will be a sign-up sheet for speakers just outside the hearing room on the third floor.

POSAC Members

The Parks and Open Space Advisory Committee consists of nine members appointed by Board of County Commissioners to review proposals and advise the Boulder County Planning Commission, the County Commissioners and staff on issues concerning open space, county land acquisitions and maintenance. Members serve three-year terms and can be reappointed. For more information about POSAC, please call 303- 678-6261 or email rfrye@bouldercounty.org.
