Activities Available on Open Space
Boulder County Parks and Open Space offers a variety of
natural and
cultural history programs and events open to the public. A description of
each event and time and place to meet are given in the

Some shelters may be reserved
for a fee, while others are available on a first-come, first-served
basis. Visit our shelter
calendar to see when the shelters are available for first-come
first-served use.
Any group of 25 people or more visiting any open space
property must have a Group/Special Use
Reservation, unless the group has already obtained a shelter
reservation. Please allow one to two weeks to process your
request.
Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department does not
plow open space parking lots. For more information

Any group of 25 people or more (whether nonprofit, educational, governmental,
or social) must receive a group reservation before their activity on
Boulder County open space.
Group activities include, but are not limited
to: research projects, hikes, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing,
picnicking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and nature studies.
Special use activities include access to open space properties that
don't fall under the generally accepted definition of passive use, e.g.,
events by non-profit organizations. Please
fill out the group/special use reservation
