Snow Information

Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department does not plow open space parking lots. The only exception is the Caribou Ranch Open Space where the department will attempt to plow the parking lot after snowstorms.  For more information visit the Snow webpage.

Rules and Regulations

The challenge is to accommodate passive recreation in a manner that does not destroy or conflict with the primary values of each open space property. Enjoy Boulder County's open space lands but remember to treat them well. As you recreate on open space, please:

• Follow the rules and regulations.
• Respect private property boundaries.
• Be aware of your impacts on wildlife and the natural environment.
• Be aware of trailhead thieves.

Trailhead Thieves

Please take precautions to prevent becoming a victim.

• DO NOT leave any items of value in plain view in an unattended vehicle at a trailhead.
• When you pull into a trailhead, make a quick mental note about your surroundings.
• If you witness anyone breaking into a car. Call 911 or 303-441-4444. If you can, jot down the color of their vehicle and document what you saw. DO NOT attempt to stop the crime.
