Lagerman Reservoir
This 116-acre reservoir is located 2.5 miles southwest of Longmont.
Fishing is allowed on Lagerman Reservoir. The reservoir is stocked with largemouth
and smallmouth bass,
walleye, tiger muskie, black crappie, bluegill and channel catfish. The
creel limits for all species must adhere to the Colorado Wildlife
Commission regulations.
The creel limit for largemouth and smallmouth bass is 5 each at least 15 inches
long. The limit for tiger muskie is one at least 36 inches long.
Bank and boat fishing are permitted. Non-motorized vessels, such as
canoes and kayaks, and motorized vessels with electric motors or
gasoline motors of
7.5 horsepower or less are allowed. Vessels are restricted
to wake-less speeds only (less than 5 miles an hour). Sailboats and
sailboards are not allowed.

Lagerman Reservoir has a multiuse trail and a
picnic shelter available for visitors.
It is located north of Niwot.
Lagerman has a multiuse 1.6-mile loop trail around the reservoir that
is open to hikers, mountain bikers and
equestrians. Dogs are also allowed on this trail.
A group shelter, which can accommodate
up to 50 people, is available for use on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Fishing is allowed at Lagerman
Reservoir, which has been stocked with largemouth bass, walleye, black

be 15 inches or longer. Tiger muskie must be 36 inches or longer. Creel
limits for all species o ther than largemouth and smallmouth bass must

Bank and boat fishing are permitted. Only boats with electric motors or
7.5 hp gas-powered motors are permitted on the water. Sailboats and
sailboards are not allowed. There is a seasonal closure (April 1st
through August 31st) on the western end of the reservoir for nesting birds.
The entrance to Lagerman Reservoir is located about 3 miles north of
Niwot on the west side of North 75th Street.
