The Fairgrounds offers rural and urban residents facilities for trade shows, animal and livestock shows, fairs, rodeos, picnics and large meetings.

Camping at the Fairgrounds


The campground is open year round and has 92 spaces available for RVs and campers. Sites with electric and water hookups are available.

Public Sessions

Public sessions include open ride, team roping, barrel racing and dog training programs.

Hikes & Events Calendar


Cattail Pond is open to fishing for kids 15 and under.

Ten exciting, jam packed summer days at Colorado's oldest county fair with over 100 free fun activities, events, and educational opportunities.

Picnic Shelter at Fairgrounds


There is a large picnic shelter by the Fairgrounds Office that can accommodate groups of over 100 people and can be rented for a fee by contacting Rebecca Harp at 303-678-6235.

Economic Impact Study

An economic impact study was conducted to help provide context for Fairgrounds improvements expenditures decisions over time. Boulder County hired the Business Research Division, University of Colorado Leeds School of Business, to design the study and analyze the data.


There are several facilities available for rent for special events. They include:

  • Five different barns
  • Indoor and outdoor arenas
  • Exhibit building
  • Parking lots
