Boulder County has established two locations for community forestry sort yards to collect wood and slash from county residents. The locations alternate between Allenspark and Nederland. Area residents can drop off logs and slash from private land for no charge at either community forestry sort yard.

Wildfire Mitigation

The Fourmile Fire taught us that wildfire disasters cannot be prevented without homeowners actively creating and maintaining effective defensible space and safe home ignition zones. Every year, more and more homeowners are taking personal responsibility and performing wildfire mitigation measures.

Wildfire Partners

Wildfire Partners is a new, voluntary program to help homeowners in Boulder County prepare for wildfire. Wildfire Partners provides a comprehensive on-site assessment of your home ignition zone including a customized report detailing actions you should take to ensure that you are fully prepared for future wildfires.
