Workshop held at: Broomfield Recycling Center, 225 Commerce St.
The Boulder County Resource Conservation Division encourages residents to focus
on keeping food scraps and yard waste in your own backyard. Since many
communities will start curbside collection programs in 2008, we want to
emphasize that keeping organics in your own backyard is the best way to reduce
your carbon footprint.
Plus, you will get beautiful compost to use for your own plants and flowers.
However, curbside food scrap and yard waste collection is easy and convenient if
you are not able to or interested in composting yourself.
How can you learn more? Visit or attend one of our booths or workshops and buy a
Soilsaver compost bin or a Green Cone food digester at a bin sale.
