Training

Training for new communications personnel takes approximately six months. Trainees start in a classroom academy followed by several months of on-console training with an assigned communications training instructor. All personnel are cross-trained on four console positions. Probation for new employees is one year from the time they have completed training and are approved to work all four positions.
