The distribution of patches is coordinated by Explorer Post 500. Post 500 is a non-profit law enforcement career
orientation program sponsored by the Sheriff's Office in cooperation with the Boy Scouts of America. Our program
permits young people to learn about the law enforcement profession first hand and aids them in making their decision
as to whether or not they wish to pursue a career in law enforcement.
The Department has authorized the Post to sell the Department patch as a fundraiser. If you are interested in
