Thomas J. Thompson (1851-19??)
A Native of Indiana, came to the office of sheriff by an unusual route, having first served on the Board of County
Commissioners from 1889-1892. He was elected Sheriff on the Populist Party ticket, and served one term.
Thomas Thompson moved to Colorado in 1871 and spent much of his adult life in mining and merchandising in the
Ward and Gold Hill areas.
He married Hettie Lamson in Boulder in 1881.
