The Technical Systems Group (TSG) assists in providing data processing systems and services to the Boulder
County Sheriff’s Office and the Boulder County Criminal Justice community.
The TSG supports the entire Sheriff's Office with Records Management System (RMS) and Jail Management System
(JMS) software purchased from Tiburon, Inc. The TSG oversees over 100 networked personal computers on a county-wide
Local Area Network.
The BCSO TSG was instrumental in managing a project to convert all of its legacy data from its IBM 390 RMS and
JMS legacy software system dating back to 1980. Conversion to the new Tiburon, Inc ARS, RMS and JMS modules
occurred in January of 2003. The Tiburon, Inc suite of modules now operate in a Windows 2000 environment. Assisting
in this project were many experts from Boulder County Information Services and Boulder County Community Justice
Services Division.
Another significant project is the conversion of the older BCSO website to a newer site compliant with Boulder
County policies and procedures. The TSG is staffed with one Business Manager, one PC Specialist, and one

Developer.
