Boulder County Child Support Enforcement Unit
Are there
any fees associated with CSEU services?
-
The initial
application requires a non-refundable $20.00 fee. In special
situations, the administrator may waive that fee. Hardship
documentation is required. After the $20 initial fee, CSEU does
not charge recurring fees for ongoing support
enforcement.

-
In special
enforcement circumstances, when the CSEU intercepts state or Federal tax returns, a $25.00 fee that will be retained from your
total payment.
-
If your case
is an interstate case and we require another state's enforcement
assistance, that state may charge a fee to enforce your support order.
Any such fee would be retained from any payments they collect. This
occurrence varies from state to state, and your interstate child support
technician can find out for you if this situation applies to your case.
-
On rare
occasion, a payment may be made in error to you or a payment may be sent
to you that has insufficient funds. If this happens, you will be
responsible
for returning that erroneous payment. If an unfunded disbursement (money sent to you in error) occurs,
recovery will be automatically withheld from each future payment at the
rate of 10 percent or $10.00, whichever is greater.
