Boulder County Child Support Enforcement Unit

Locating a non-custodial party

If you need help enforcing your child support order but don’t know where the non-custodial party lives, the CSEU can try to locate them.  Our office uses a number of tools and resources to try to locate a non-custodial parent:

  • Department of Labor

  • U.S. Postal Service

  • Internet-based search engines

  • Department of Motor Vehicles

  • Probation/parole records and police records

  • Relatives and friends of the non-custodial parent

  • Present and past employers

  • The most valuable resource we have is information provided by the applicant. Any and all detailed information that the applicant can provide us as part of the application process will help.  The more information you can give us from the start, the better our results will be.

More suggestions for locating non-custodial parties may be found on the State of Colorado’s Child Support web site.
