Collaborations
The Boulder County Commissioners and County
staff are working closely with other local governments,
local non-profits and the private sector to
achieve sustainability within our communities.
These collaborative efforts include:

ClimateSmart |
A countywide effort to help
individuals, families and businesses increase their
energy efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint.
This collaborative campaign helps connect people and
businesses to various programs designed by the city
of Boulder's Office of Environmental Affairs,
Boulder County and other participating
municipalities. Partners in ClimateSmart include:

Consortium of Cities Energy Strategy Task
Force
Sustainable Energy Plan |
The Task Force is a collaboration among Boulder
County, the municipalities in the County, the city
and County of Broomfield, and their businesses,
non-profit organizations and residents to address
critical energy concerns and strategies. Topics
include reduction of greenhouse gas emissions,
promotion of renewable energy production, reducing
the energy costs incurred by residents and
businesses, and more. The Task Force created a
countywide
Sustainable Energy Plan that outlines key
strategies for reducing energy consumption, adopting
renewable and more sustainable technologies and
reducing green house gas emissions.

| Facilities
Managers Network |
A self-directed group that brings together
facilities managers from major institutions in the
county, including municipalities, educational
institutions, and large private facilities, to
address ways to increase energy and water
efficiency, improve indoor air quality and reduce
waste and pollution. Meets quarterly. |

Transit Alliance |
A non-profit that promotes public transit as
part of a balanced, multi-modal transportation
network in the Denver-Metro region. |

Residential Energy Audit Program (REAP) |
The REAP is a collaborative effort that provides
subsidized home energy audits for homeowners. A REAP
home energy analysis helps residents understand
thier energy usage and give them a personalized set
of recommendations to lower their energy usage and
subsequent bill.
