Niwot Road Bridge Replacement
(Boulder Whiterock and Boulder Lefthand Ditches).
The Niwot Road bridges
over the Boulder Whiterock Ditch and Boulder Lefthand Ditch were
constructed in the 1950's and are in need of replacement. This
project will replace both bridges with concrete box culverts.
The project is
scheduled for Winter 2008/2009 and will be completed before the 2009
irrigation season. A temporary detour will be in place during
construction. Walker Avenue south of Niwot Road will be closed.
The pedestrian walk along the north side of Niwot Road will remain open
for the majority of construction buy may be temporarily closed during
construction and removal of the road detour.
