Lefthand Creek Bridge: Highway 52 Intersection
The SH119 Bikeway project is an effort to create a continuous, safe bikeway
between Boulder, Gunbarrel, Niwot and Longmont. Bikeway improvements include three locations: SH52 Intersection, northbound Lefthand Creek bridge,
and the Four-mile Creek RR crossing.
Phase 1 of the project - SH119 Bikeway Bridge over Left
Hand Creek and the bikeway improvements to SH52 intersections were completed
June 1, 2008. The new bridge allows northbound
cyclists a way across Left Hand Creek separated from the general highway
traffic.

Improvements of SH52 provide additional room for southbound cyclists using the
intersection and improve pedestrian crossings for access to the transit stops.
