The
Boulder County Alternative Transportation Division provides
facilities and programs that encourage and support the use of
alternative forms of transportation such as walking, bicycling,
carpooling and using public transit. The program also supports
recreational forms of transportation such as horseback riding,
running, rollerblading, and recreational bicycling.
Because they help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserve
natural resources and lessen dependence on the automobile, these
programs are a priority for the both the Transportation
Department and the County as a whole.
