The new trail segment is approximately 3,900 feet long.  It traverses under US 287, then runs parallel to US 287 and the BNSF railroad before crossing the railroad.  From there, it continues through the remainder of Boulder County Open Space, southeast of Rock Creek, cutting back to the creek as the trail reaches Dillon Road.

Construction will begin in the spring of 2009 with completion anticipated by the end of the summer.  For more information contact Andy Reed at 720-564-2651.
