Alternative Modes: Transit
Boulder County is an active supporter of multiple
transit services and helps facilitate planning, marketing and awareness
programs throughout the County.
Current County-sponsored services include the
BOLT,
JUMP, and the
DASH
transit routes. New services include the
96L,
which is planned to provide a new fixed-route
service between Erie, Lafayette, and Louisville with connections to the
US 36 Corridor.
While the County actively supports and funds some
existing transit services, our main role is planning for future service.
Our most recent efforts have been to support the Consortium of Cities
Regional Transit Committee’s efforts to develop the
Boulder and Broomfield Counties Transit Enhancement Plan (2006).
The new transit routes will
begin May 2008.
Partnerships
The transit services provided by Boulder County are in partnership
with transit service providers, other cities and towns within the County
and with regional and state organizations dedicated to supporting
transit services.
