Q. How old do I have to be?
A. Assistant Team Leaders must be at least 18 years old by June 16, 2008.
Team Leaders must be at least 21 years old by June 16,

Q. How much would I get paid?
A. 1st year Assistant Team Leaders make $10.50 an hour.
2nd year Assistant Team Leaders make $11.00 an hour.
3+ year Assistant Team Leaders make $11.50 an hour.
1st year Team Leaders make $12.50 an hour.
2nd year Team Leaders make $13.00 an hour.
3+ year Team Leaders make $13.50 an hour.
Q. What hours would I work?
A. Assistant Team Leaders and Team Leaders work approximately 40
hours per week Monday through Thursday from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 5:00
p.m. and Friday from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
During the first 2 weeks of training, hours are Monday through Friday from
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Q. When does the season start and end?
A. For new staff, training begins on Tuesday, June 3, 2008.
For returning staff, training begins on Wednesday, June
4, 2008.
The last
day for staff is Friday, August 8, 2008.

Q. Do I have to live in Boulder County?
A. No, there are no residency restrictions for staff.
Q. What type of work would I do?
A. The Youth Corps works exclusively on outdoor service projects.
You would supervise, motivate and evaluate a team of 5-10 Corpsmembers. Projects include trail building,
landscaping, forestry work, historic restoration, fence building and noxious
weed removal.

Q. How much time can I miss?
A. Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders are in charge of
supervising their teams on a daily basis. Any time off during the
season in strongly discouraged.
Q. What does the word 'Corps' mean and how do I pronounce it?
A. The word 'Corps' means, "a group of people associated or acting
together." Corps is pronounced korh. The plural form
is spelled the same way but pronounced korhs.
