CSU Extension Community Survey

For over 100 years, Extension has helped Coloradans answer questions, solve everyday problems, and live a better life. But community needs are changing faster than ever and they need input from Boulder County residents to understand the pressing issues facing Colorado communities today. Please take this 11 minute survey to provide important feedback.

Left Hand Outdoor Challenge

Teens interested in service learning, environmental education, leadership development, and challenging outdoor activities are encouraged to apply for the program. Adult volunteers are also needed. The application deadline is Aug. 1.

Heil Valley Ranch Cal-Wood Fire Recovery

Recovery work is underway at Heil Valley Ranch from the devastating Cal-Wood Fire. The south side of the park is closed at least through Sept. 30 so the area can be restored to safe conditions.

Boulder Area Trails App

The Boulder Area Trails app provides access to trail information in and around Boulder County. The app includes 295 trailheads and 1,440 miles of trail from 12 different agencies.

COVID-19 Safety Information

Give space to others on the trails.
Face coverings are not required but Boulder County Public Health recommends wearing one if social distancing cannot be maintained.
Follow all rules and regulations.
Park in designated spaces only and follow trail directional arrows. Rangers are issuing fines for violations.
Visit on weekdays to avoid crowds.
Parks and trails are generally less crowded on weekdays. Parking lots are full as early as 8 a.m. on weekends.
