Purchase Parks & Open Space Calendars

The 2022 calendar is now on sale and can be purchased for $2 + shipping. Calendars feature photos of open space lands, are 10.75″ tall x 8.25″ wide, and hang on a wall. They make great gifts.

Outdoor Creations Plein Air Art Show

Over 90 works of art are on display at The Great Frame Up Longmont until Dec. 30. The art show features paintings and drawings of Boulder County open space lands.

Winter Issue of Images

The winter issue of Images is now available. Articles include 2021 Land Conservation Awards, What Happens to Butterflies When It Snows, Meadow Vole Finds a Home, Six-sided Wonders, and more.

Small Grants for Research

Parks & Open Space is offering small grants for research and biological inventories on open space lands. Grants will be awarded up to $10,000. The deadline for proposals is Monday, Jan. 10, 2022.

Elk Management at Ron Stewart Preserve

Ron Stewart Preserve at Rabbit Mountain will be closed Monday through Wednesday from Sept. 20 through Jan. 30 (except for certain holidays) for elk management through limited hunting. If hunting activities end early or are not scheduled, the park will be open.

Heil Valley Ranch Cal-Wood Fire Recovery

Recovery work is underway at Heil Valley Ranch from the devastating Cal-Wood Fire. The south side of the park is closed until the area can be restored to safe conditions.
