Gold Run Restoration and Recovery

Stream restoration work for Gold Run Creek has been completed.

Boulder County completed stream restoration designs (30% phase) for Gold Run. Funding for the designs was provided by a Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Relief (CDBG-DR) planning grant through the Colorado Watershed Resilience Planning Grant Program.

The project area was identified for funding through the Natural Resource Conservation Service’s Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) program. The EWP program provides financial assistance for implementation of approved creek restoration plans. Boulder County sponsored the Gold Run portion of this EWP project. The Fourmile Creek Watershed Coalition sponsored the Ingram Gulch portion of this EWP project. See the Fourmile Creek map for more information.

Boulder County implemented the stream restoration project as part of the Gold Run road flood recovery-related construction project.
