Boulder County has completed stream restoration designs (30% phase) for Gold Run. Funding for the designs was provided by a Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Relief (CDBG-DR) planning grant through the Colorado Watershed Resilience Planning Grant Program.
The project area has been identified for funding through the Natural Resource Conservation Service’s Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) program. The EWP program provides financial assistance for implementation of approved creek restoration plans. Boulder County intends to sponsor the Gold Run portion of this EWP project. The Fourmile Creek Watershed Coalition intends to sponsor the Ingram Gulch portion of this EWP project. See the Fourmile Creek map for more information.
Boulder County will is implementing the stream restoration project as part of the Gold Run road construction, which is underway.
The county anticipates completing implementation of all stream restoration projects under this program in 2017.
