- Final Stream Restoration Designs

Boulder County has completed stream restoration design for Lower Fourmile Creek, which is the portion of the creek located between CO Highway 119 (Boulder Canyon Drive) and Salina Junction. Funding for the designs was provided by a Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Relief (CDBG-DR) planning grant through the Colorado Watershed Resilience Planning Grant Program.
Conceptual designs were are an early representation of the design and changes should be expected.
A portion of the design area has been identified for funding through the Natural Resource Conservation Service’s Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Program. The EWP program provides financial assistance for implementation of approved creek restoration plans. Boulder County intends to sponsor the Lower Fourmile Creek EWP project. The Fourmile Creek Watershed Coalition has received funding to implement a stream restoration project in the upper section of lower Fourmile Creek.

Boulder County will implement the stream restoration project as part of the Fourmile Canyon Drive Road Reconstruction, which is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2018.
