2020 Short-term Elections Positions

  • Boulder County Elections is currently hiring for a variety of short-term, election positions for the November 3 General Election. Positions include ballot processing, computer operators, courier, and ballot reception jobs.
  • Work hours and days vary for each position.
  • Some positions run several weeks for a single election; other positions may only require a 2-3 day commitment.
  • Most positions pay $17.42 per hour.

Student Democracy Program

We are recruiting, hiring, and training local high school students (ages 16 and 17) to serve as Student Election Judges. Learn more and apply here:

  • No political conversations of any kind allowed with co-workers or voters while working or on break; we are a neutral zone.
  • Boulder County employees including temporary employees are paid on the last business day of the month. A check will be mailed to you.
  • Must complete all paperwork before start date in order to be paid.
  • All employees must join PERA (Public Employees Retirement Association); 8.5% of your check will go towards PERA. You are welcome to request the money back from PERA after you receive your last paycheck. PERA refund could take 30-90 days.
  • Personal items such as cell phones, purses, backpacks, jackets etc. need to be stored away from your work area while you work.
