Virtually Walker Ranch: Cross Stitch ‘n History

Miss the fun of Walker Ranch Heritage Days? At this virtual program we'll teach you how to make the basic cross-stitch as well as how to combine individual stitches into rows for a completed piece. In between demos we'll share information on Walker Ranch and the history of needle arts.

Everyone in your family can take part, and feel free to wear your pioneer wear for a bit more fun! Participants under age 8 should team up with an adult. Each person/team will need:

-A square of basic cotton/linen fabric
-A needle (if you are a beginner, look for a wide eye to make it easier to thread)
-Embroidery thread
-Marker or pen that will show up on the fabric

Only one registration per family is needed.

The event will take place as a Zoom meeting and the link will be shared the day before the program via email.

Registration required.

Registration is required through Discover Boulder County, Parks & Open Space’s volunteer and event registration system. If you’re new to the system, you’ll need to create an account. But it’s easy and we only use your contact information to communicate about events you register for. We will never sell or give your information to a third party.
