Longs Peak Energy Conservation (LPEC)

LPEC provides improvements to safety, energy efficiency, comfort and general repair of the homes of eligible clients through a variety of different programs.

Programs

  • Weatherization Program
    Provides cost-effective, energy-efficient improvements and upgrades for eligible homes in Boulder, Larimer, Broomfield and Gilpin counties.
  • Energy Conservation
    Opportunities for households with higher incomes to receive Energy Upgrades at half the cost!
  • Care Program
    Longs Peak Energy Conservation in partnership with Energy Outreach Colorado, Xcel Energy and the Platte River Power
  • Housing Rehabilitation
    Assistance with home repairs for eligible residents of the city of Boulder and Boulder County outside of Longmont.

Contractors should be able to work on all types of homes, particularly mobile homes. Specific trade contractors such as plumbers, electricians, and HVAC are particularly important to this program.

Weatherization Service Contracts

Requests for bids are accepted once a year in April or May, View requests and post bids through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing Bid System.

Housing Rehabilitation Service Contracts

Requests for proposals are issued in the fall, approximately in October. Bid requests are posted on the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing Bid System.
