Many working families qualify. Individuals who participate in other programs such as SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) may automatically be income-eligible for WIC (Women, Infant, and Children program).

To be eligible for WIC, a person must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a pregnant, breastfeeding (up to one year postpartum) or non-breastfeeding (up to six months postpartum) woman; an infant; or child up to five years of age.
  • Be income-eligible (see below).
  • Have identification and proof of income and address.
