Travel Clinics

Boulder County Public Health does not offer travel shots. Please refer to the following list of providers who do offer vaccinations for travelers. Some general practitioners offer travel shots to their patients. Check with your family doctor to learn more.

Boulder

Boulder Medical Center (BMC)

BMC provides travel vaccines and some general vaccines, as well as prescriptions for anti-malarial drugs. They make recommendations for vaccines based on where a person will be traveling. A doctor is available for consultation on Tuesday and Thursday mornings only; appointments are required.

Colorado Travel Health

Colorado Travel Health is an official Yellow Fever Immunization Center and provides all other immunizations that may be required or recommended for your trip. Staff will make recommendations based on your specific itinerary and medical health history which will be reviewed during the extensive pre-travel consult.

Helios Integrated Medicine

Helios provides general and travel immunizations, as well as prescriptions for anti-malarial drugs. Anyone interested in receiving travel immunizations must make a travel consultation appointment. During this consultation, the doctor will make vaccine recommendations based on where the client will be traveling. The clinic is open M-F.

Passport Health

An appointment with one of the travel nurses is required in order to receive recommendations for and be administered general and travel vaccines, as well as prescriptions for anti-malarial drugs. In addition to writing prescriptions for anti-malarial, Passport Health’s pharmacy also sells the drugs. The travel clinic is open M-F.

University Family Medicine

University Family Medicine (UFM) provides general and travel vaccines. Anti-malarial prescriptions can also be obtained at UFM. Individuals may need to make an appointment with the doctor in order to receive the appropriate vaccine recommendations based on where the client will be traveling; this travel consultation may possibly be conducted over the phone. Open M-F.

Individuals can receive general immunizations at the Beacon Clinic, but they need to schedule an office visit in order to receive prescriptions for both anti-malarial drugs and travel vaccines. The clinic is open M-F for appointments.

Individuals of all ages can receive general immunizations and travel immunizations at this clinic. They schedule by appointment M-F, with some late appointment days available. This clinic provides travel consultation, immunizations, malaria prescriptions, and treatment for Traveler's Diarrhea.

The Longmont Clinic provides both travel immunizations and prescriptions for anti-malarial drugs. The office is open M-F, and individuals must make appointments in order to receive both a travel consultation and the vaccines.

Denver Public Health (DPH)

General and travel immunizations are available M-F at DPH. The clinic is open from 8-4, but clients must arrive by 3:30 in order to receive vaccines. No appointment is necessary, but individuals must know which vaccines they need, because DPH does not make vaccine recommendations for travel. DPH does not provide prescriptions for anti-malarial drugs.
