Arrests made in shooting at 4475 North Broadway

Two people arrested in shooting that resulted in death

Boulder County, Colo. - At 8:15 a.m. on February 5, 2016, Boulder County Communications received a 9-1-1 phone call about shots heard at 4475 North Broadway in Boulder.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 31-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Based on the investigation and interviews conducted with witnesses, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office has made two arrests associated with this case. Both arrestees have been transported to the Boulder County Jail.

Cody F. Nelson, date of birth 10/22/1964, was arrested for Murder in the first degree, a Class I felony, and prohibited use of a weapon.

Miriam L. Nayeh, date of birth 7/20/1984, was arrested for accessory to Murder in the first degree murder, a class IV felony, and domestic violence.

The investigation into this case will be ongoing by the Boulder County Sheriff's Office detectives and the District Attorney's Office.
