The forest management project will take place on county land adjacent to the City of Boulder’s Betasso Water Treatment Plant. Approximately 190 acres will be thinned to reduce risk from catastrophic wildfires. The project will begin in early October and is scheduled to end by March 31, 2017.
- Park closures will take place mid-October through December, Monday-Friday, during helicopter operations.
- Additional trail closures for short durations may be required to facilitate safe felling operations.
- There will be no closures during weekends or major federal holidays.
