Boulder County Parks & Open Space hosts Gold Panning for Kids – Registration deadline is Friday, July 13

Nederland Mining Museum, Saturday, July 14

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Parks & Open Space staff will host Gold Panning for Kids on Saturday, July 14, at the Nederland Mining Museum, 200 N. Bridge Street, Nederland. The deadline to register for a 30-minute session for the event is Friday, July 13.

At this event, people are invited to travel back in time and pan for gold the way miners did long ago. Kids especially will enjoy “seeking their fortunes” and other hands-on activities as they learn about the history of mining in Boulder County. Open to kids ages 5 and older accompanied by an adult.
