Boulder County Youth Corps deadline extended for teens to apply for summer jobs.

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County residents ages 14-17 (as of June 15) have until 4:30 p.m. on April 10 to apply for summer jobs with the Boulder County Youth Corps. This is an extension of the original April 1 deadline. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply online due to the stay-at-home public health order.

At this point, staff is optimistic the program will begin on June 15 for the summer season as planned. Additional safety precautions will be adopted and implemented. Staff will continue to assess the evolving situation to evaluate appropriate steps.

The Youth Corps offers one of the best first-job opportunities available for teens in Boulder County and will hire teenagers to work 30 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from June 15 through August 5 on a variety of community service projects such as trail construction and maintenance, historic preservation, forest thinning, construction and repair of fencing, landscaping, and removal of noxious weeds. This year, corps members will earn a starting wage of $12/hour, with the possibility of earning a $100 bonus at the end of the program based on merit and strong attendance.
