Boulder County’s Family to Family Holiday Program Still Needs Donations

Still Needs Donations

Holiday gift-giving program for low-income residents is $15K short of goal

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County’s Family to Family program is still seeking donations to help low-income parents purchase gifts for their children this holiday season. As of Dec. 15, donations to the program were about $15,000 short of where they were at this time last year.

“We’re grateful for the generosity of those in our community who want to help parents struggling to make ends meet for their families,” said Debbie Ramirez, Family to Family Program Coordinator. “Last year we were able to serve about 400 families totaling more than 1,300 people, and we’re hoping to at least match that number this year.”

The Family to Family Holiday Program provides gift cards to struggling parents and caregivers to help them purchase presents for their children, and is often the only means by which parents can do so. Ramirez says Family to Family will accept donations up until the program is able to serve all the parents who need the support.
