Coroner rules on the cause and manner of Stephanie Anderson’s death
Stephanie Anderson died of natural causes while incarcerated at the Boulder County Jail.
Boulder, Colo. -- Earlier today the Boulder County Coroner's Office issued their final ruling as to the cause and manner of Stephanie Anderson's death. Anderson died in-custody at the Boulder County Jail on Friday, May 27th. The coroner's office ruled that Anderson's death was caused by hypertensive cardiovascular disease, with a contributing condition of obesity, and that the manner of death was natural.
With the completion of the coroner's investigation, the sheriff's office may now legally provide additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding Anderson's death, as promised in prior media releases. Anderson's family retained an attorney early in the investigation and the sheriff's office anticipates litigation to be forthcoming now that the investigation into her death has concluded.
