Cyclist injured on the East Boulder Trail in Boulder County, Colorado

Cyclist transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries

Boulder County, Colo. - On July 16, 2021, the Boulder County Communication Center received the report of an injured cyclist on the East Boulder Trail, near 75th and Lookout Road in unincorporated Boulder County, Colorado. The cyclist reportedly lost consciousness and was with other cyclists.

Members with the Boulder County Sheriff's Office and Boulder Rural Fire Department arrived on scene and provided initial care to the male cyclist, who was by that time conscious. The cyclist had been wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. The patient was carried about 150 yards to an awaiting ambulance and transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
