Drug Collection Box Available at the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office
Collection box is for individuals to safely dispose of unwanted medication
Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office is able to once again collect unwanted medication through a drug collection box.
The Drug Enforcement Agency and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment are assisting with the funding for the destruction of the collected medication, which is allowing us to offer this service to the community.
The drug collection box is available to the public during normal business hours, Monday-Friday from 8-5 p.m., at the Sheriff's Office Headquarters, located at 5600 Flatiron Parkway, Boulder. The collection box is located in the front entrance way of the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters building, before you enter the lobby. This drug collection box is only for private individuals to use, it is not available for commercial or business use.
Items not accepted at this collection box include:
- Chemotherapy drugs
There is also a drug collection box available at the Lafayette Police Department, located at 451 North 111th Street, Lafayette in the Records Division. For more information about the Lafayette Police Department’s collection box, call 303-665-5571.
