Fallen Climber


Boulder County, Colo. - On May 18, 2016, at approximately 4:30 pm Boulder County Communications received a call of a fallen climber. The 26-year-old male fell 15-20' and sustained injuries requiring rescue personnel to respond. When they arrived rescue personnel found the male, who was not wearing a helmet when he fell, conscious and breathing. Rocky Mountain Rescue, Boulder Emergency Squad, Rocky Mountain Fire Department, Louisville Fire Department and Boulder Sheriff's Office responded to the call.

The rescue will take some time, as they will have to cross the rapidly flowing South Boulder Creek.
