Background

The adoption of Land Use Code Docket DC-18-0004 Niwot Rural Community District Amendments, which was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on April 23, 2019, and adopted in Resolution 2019-42, effective April 23, 2019, required the county to conduct an initial traffic count within 3 months of the adoption of the amended Code section.

Additionally, the updated approved Land Use Code Article 4-116A states that: Within one year after the first new commercial development in Block 5 receives a Certificate of Occupancy, the county will conduct a new traffic count and public input survey to determine if additional counts and surveys will be required in the future, and what, if any, additional improvements and safety mitigation measures must be incorporated into future alley design.
