Injured Hiker on the Saddle Rock Trail

Boulder County, Colo. - On Saturday, October 15, 2016 at approximately 9:40 a.m., the Boulder County Communications Center received a 911 call advising that a 58-year old female was hiking down the Amphitheater trail when she tripped and injured her ankle. Two hikers came across the injured female and went to the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks Ranger Station to guide rescue personnel to the injured party.

Rescue personnel from Rocky Mountain Rescue Group (RMR), City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks Rangers (OSMP), Boulder County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services and American Medical Response (AMR) responded to the scene to assist.

Rescuers were able to locate the injured female on the Saddle Rock Trail and assisted her down the trail safely.
