Christopher Lynn Graves arrested for breaking into his
former girlfriend’s residence in Lyons
Boulder County, Colo.--
On July 17,
2015, Boulder Communications received a 911 call from a residence in the town
of Lyons, Boulder County. The caller said a neighbor had come to their door
saying she needed help because someone had broken into her residence and
attempted to rape her.
arrived they found signs of a struggle in the bedroom. The victim
said she woke up to at approximately 4:00 a.m. with an unknown man on top
of her. She fought with him, biting his finger, and was punched several times.
The man finally ran out of the residence and unable to locate her cell phone, she ran to the neighbor's house to call
the Sheriff’s Office.
On July 18,
the victim received several emails from her ex-boyfriend, 42 year-old
Christopher Lynn Graves (date of birth August 4, 1973) which included
statements that were suspicious causing investigators to focus their investigation on him.
Deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Christopher Graves and
later contacted and arrested Mr. Graves, charging him with first degree
burglary, a class 3 felony, attempted sexual assault, a class 4 felony, third
degree assault, violation of a protection order, both class 1 misdemeanors, and
County Sheriff’s Office case number for this incident is 15-4011
