Neighborhood Disputed Ends in Shooting

A 46-year-old Gunbarrel man was shot following a dispute with a neighbor.

Boulder, Colo. - On Thursday, May 12th, shortly after 3:30 p.m., deputies were called to the 6200 block of Willow Lane in Gunbarrel on the report of a neighborhood dispute that ended in a shooting. When deputies arrived they found a 46-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the buttocks. The man is believed to have been shot with a small caliber handgun, and was later transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injury.

Deputies were able to identify the suspect in the shooting, a 59-year-old man who is a neighbor of the victim in the Willow Condominium Complex. The suspect was interviewed by deputies at the scene, and was later transported by ambulance to a local hospital for a medical evaluation.

Sheriff's detectives are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the neighborhood dispute and subsequent shooting.
